A mainstay of the comedy circuit for over 10 years, Lucy Porter now brings her 11th solo show Consequences on a nationwide UK tour. A successful run at Edinburgh Festival this August saw the stars flood in, with top reviews from Broadway Baby and Edinburgh Festival Magazine.
Consequences is a show full of both personal revelations and cultural observations, covering a wide range of issues from generational conflict to dressing as David Bowie. Lucy’s ever-present charm and charisma has been key to her success and Consequences has this in bounds. The Telegraph, in a 5-star review, described the show as “impeccable punch-lined anecdotes… genuinely delightful.”
If you haven’t seen one of Lucy’s comedy shows before, you will almost certainly have seen her on TV. She’s appeared on QI, Mock The Week, Have I Got News For You and Never Mind The Buzzcocks to name a few. Quiz shows are a personal favourite for Lucy, and she’s been seen most notably on celebrity editions of Mastermind and Pointless.
Not only is she a firm favourite close to home, Lucy has also appeared around the world from North America to the Far East, making a name for herself around the globe. She has performed in Hong Kong, Macau, Manila, Switzerland and Paris as well as featuring on major American TV networks HBO and NBC at the Las Vegas Comedy Festival. Not only having a distinguished career in comedy, she has worked as a voiceover artist and has also been writing a script for a feature film with leading British film company, Warp X.
Lucy Porter will be performing Consequences on Saturday 29th October, 8pm at Arlington Arts Centre. For tickets, priced at £14, visit www.arlingtonarts.co.uk or call the Box Office on 01635 244246 (Mon-Fri, 9am-4.30pm).
