Big Beat Little Feet aims to become a resident series of events for families that runs throughout the year, each time bringing a new performance. The series which aims to create a love for music in children of all ages, will bring new and exciting bands that children love into a new environment that gets them away from the TV or computer.
So far we have had Biscuithead and The Biscuit Badgers who brought their inventive songs to Arlington with favourites such as Soy Milk and David Attenborough.
Next in the line up for the events is Kid Carpet’s Super Mega Rockin’ Rock Show. Kid Carpet moved into children’s theatre rather unexpectedly, what began as an accident extended to become purposely creating songs and theatre for children and families. Kid Carpet has been writing and creating music for adults long before he moved to children’s entertainment. With songs such as, Doing a Poo in the Forest, Jesus is a Hedgehog and Shooting Star it is easy to understand why he is a firm favourite with children. It doesn’t mean he can’t become a favourite of all the parents too.
With numerous live shows under his belt such as Kid Carpet & The Noisy Animals (2012), Blast Off! (2013) and Kid Carpet & The Noisy Neighbours (2015). Alongside many other projects including writing for television and creating shows not only for children but adults alike, Kid Carpet is keeping himself busy. Now that he has the touring bug, he is bringing his shows to the public again and one stop will be here at Arlington Arts.
You can see Kid Carpet in his Super Mega Rockin’ Rock Show on Sunday 30th April at 3pm.
