Stuff is the first time solo show of seasoned performer Sean Kempton. Sean is a performer who specialises in contemporary clowning, circus and ensemble theatre. Throughout his career he has worked in a multitude of different capacities from acting on the west end, to his more well known role as a staple clown for Cirque de Soleil. His well rounded career has included directorial stints as well as teaching workshops for amateur to professional level.
The predominantly non verbal show was developed from interviews with all different ages about love and human connection and what it means to us. The show is described as:
‘ playful, funny, sad and familiar. Lead clown for Cirque du Soleil, Sean Kempton, mixes comedy, mime, clowning and the odd bit of dance in this absurdist show about love… The result is a highly energetic and entertaining, physical piece that takes its audience on a journey through the fragility, hilarity and awkwardness that love can sometimes entail.’
The family show promises to provide entertainment for the whole family with its appealing to all ages. A short video of his show can be found here: ‘Stuff’ if you fancy taking a look and what you would be missing out on if you don’t get tickets for this fantastic show.
Threeweeksedinburgh herald the show as:
‘exactly the right balance when looking for something light: funny, theatrical but with a distinctive, meaningful theme. Adults, teenagers, children… it is a show that everyone will enjoy!’ 4/5 http://www.threeweeksedinburgh.com/article/stuff-sean-kempton/
