Where did March go? Already it’s nearly over and the Easter weekend beckons. Here at the Arlington Arts Centre we have some special treats in store in April…
On Saturday 7 April we welcome multitalented folk musician Pete Coe, playing instruments ranging from bouzouki to dulcimer, taking in ‘percussive dancing’ on the way, and storytelling with songs old and new.
Fred’s House transport us to sunny California with their brand of ‘70s West Coast folk/rock, with gorgeous vocal harmonies and infectious melodies. They perform at AAC on Thursday 12 April.
The Dead South are nothing less than an internet sensation, having clocked up over 50 million views on YouTube with their hit song ‘In Hell I’ll be in Good Company’. This gig on Wednesday 18 April sold out some time ago, so if you have missed out this time, make sure you book your tickets well in advance the next time one of your favourite bands is playing at Arlington!
Towards the end of the month we showcase the talents of local youngsters from Newbury Youngstars who are performing Alice in Wonderland on Saturday 21 April, and the following weekend Feel the Beat dance school present a show called ‘Justice’.
Our March/April ‘Spend a Penny’ offer applies to the gigs on 7 and 12 April, so Ladies, if you haven’t yet taken advantage of this amazing deal celebrating the refurbishment of our ladies’ loos, book your 1p tickets now!
