Support Announcement: Howie G

We are pleased to announce that Howie G will be support Ben Poole on Thursday 20 February 2020.

Howie G is a guitarist, singer/songwriter from Cheshire. His debut solo album ‘Master of the Night’ was released earlier this year and has had airplay on several national, international and local radio stations including Planet Rock, HRH Radio, Moorlands Radio, Greater Manchester Rocks etc.  This is however far from his first album having appeared on several down the years. 

Howie is a pro musician and session player with many years gigging experience and has entertained crowds from one man and his dog to 50,000+ (supporting the Stereophonics). He has worked with the likes of Phil Campbell (Motorhead),, Don Airey (Deep Purple, Rainbow), Marco Mendoza (Thin Lizzy, Whitesnake) and many others.  For the last decade he has been the lead guitarist in the Classic Rock Show, a UK theatre show which has gained him fans all over the UK (the Classic Rock Show play at Cheltenham Town Hall for example).He is also the guitarist in NWOBHM band Persian Risk and AOR favourites Lawless and has played festivals/venues across the globe including Greece, Cyprus, USA, France, Germany, Holland, Spain and the Middle East. 

His music is influenced by the likes of Gary Moore, Robin Trower, Jimi Hendrix, Albert King etc and his covers of Gary Moore’s Still Got the Blues and Jimi Hendrix’s All Along the Watchtower have both reached over 1m views (link above).

He has recently supported Chantel McGregor and appeared as headline act at Britains Rare Guitar Show which was filmed for Sky TV
