A Winter’s Tale

A Winter’s Tale,  19 January to 26 February 2022

Our 2022 community art exhibition is entitled ‘A Winter’s Tale’.  

Send us your paintings, photographs, drawings or any medium of your choice on the subject of Winter, both in the natural world and our day-to-day lives:  a brisk walk in the woods on a frosty morning; a snow- or mist-covered landscape; wildlife, icicles, a frozen waterfall; the hygge of mulled wine in front of a log fire; candles, or looking out of your window onto the wintry world. The choice is yours!  

Wall-hung images should not exceed A4 size (210mm x 297mm or 8.3ins x 11.7ins).  For 3-D pieces, please contact our box office to check that we can display your work by emailing boxoffice@arlingtonarts.co.uk or by calling 01635 244246 during our box office hours of 10am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday. 

We will be showing a selection of submissions on our website and social media, but if you wish your image to be displayed in our exhibition here at Arlington Arts Centre, you must deliver it in person, or send a hard copy to us at the following address:
A Winter’s Tale, Arlington Arts Centre, Mary Hare, Snelsmore Common, Newbury, Berkshire, RG14 3BQ. 

Please clearly mark your piece with the following information:

  • The title of the piece
  • The price (if you wish it to be offered for sale), noting that we take a commission of 10%, or mark NFS (not for sale)
  • Your name and contact details 

Alternatively, if you do not wish your work to be displayed in the exhibition, but only online, you can send your images by email to boxoffice@arlingtonarts.co.uk with ‘A Winter’s Tale’ as the subject.

Please note that we cannot accept responsibility for any loss or damage caused in the post.The closing date for submissions is Monday 17th January 2022. Unsold work should be collected from us no later than Friday 4 March 2022. If you cannot collect your work in person, please include a stamped addressed envelope.

We welcome submissions from people of all ages and whether art is your profession or hobby.
