This Week: Road & Entrance Closure

Pop Divas

This week at Arlington Arts we have 3 shows (4 performances) including two midweek for all the family to enjoy during Half Term.

If you planning on visiting Arlington Arts this weekend please be aware of the Wantage Road B4494 is closed so you won’t be able to arrive at the venue via the entrance opposite to Snelsmore Common. We recommend that instead you take the Oxford Road route and arrive at Arlington Arts via Arlington Lane.

If you are unaware of our shows this week, here is a little reminder:

Snow White Red Rose Bear Brown | Tues 19 Feb | 3pm | £10, £8 concessions

Snow White and Rose Red – sisters, twins, best friends – have lived in the forest since they were Babes in the Wood.  Not as worldly-wise as their mother would have liked, they are nonetheless kind, caring and sometimes a little over enthusiastic in their deeds!
When their quiet life is interrupted by a friendly bear a new chapter begins.  But why has the bear chosen them as playfellows?  Why is there sadness in his eyes?  And who on earth is that rude little man with a ridiculously long beard that they keep bumping in to?
All questions will be untangled in this new show from the Woods of Widdershins, using puppets, storytelling, original music and a fantastical fairytale forest.
Suitable for ages 4 and up.

Pop Divas Live! | Weds 20 Feb | 4pm | £15

Get ready for the best songs from all your favourite female stars in one fabulous fun-packed show. Little Mix will cast some Black Magic and Taylor Swift will Shake It Off as four enormously talented girls bring you up close and personal with the greatest female pop performers of today.
Meghan Trainor, Ariana Grande, Beyoncé and Rihanna will all be dropping in to the biggest Pop Party ever so make sure you’re there!
With dazzling choreography, state of the art videos and superb vocals Pop Divas Live! is the perfect pop concert experience for the little divas in your life.
“My baby sister absolutely loved it. She got the chance to meet and dance on stage with them which was a dream come true. Thank you so much!”

Nell Bryden On Sale Now

Nell Bryden returns to Arlington Arts on Thursday 11 July at 8pm.

With this tour, Nell has gone back to her roots and followed the traditional sonic footsteps of her idols Dusty Springfield, Aretha Franklin and Carole King. Having just recorded an album (to tape!) – of all new songs at Ray Davies Konk Studios in London, Nell’s new EP is called “Soundtrack to Little Wing – Part 1,” which is a reference to Nell’s soon to be released debut novel, for which this music is a companion album. In her return to Arlington Arts, you can expect a soulful, heartfelt performance from New Yorker Nell and her band – an artist who is at her most comfortable on the road.

Venue Update

New Floor!

As you may have seen if you have visited the venue over the weekend (how good were Crowd Company and Whole Lotta Led by the way!?) we are currently having a new floor fitted.

Gone is the old blue carpet, in is our fresh, stylish distressed oak effect flooring! It has already brightened the place up and made Arlington Arts look like a venue fit for its time again.

The work on the floor will be finished early this week.

New Bar!

We’ve been adding to our new bar recently (and to our range of stock) and it is now a functional bottle bar. However, we are pleased to announce that we will be having 2 draught pumps installed for our latest on tap products: Shipyard Pale Ale and Revisionist Craft Lager

Here’s a list of the rest of our new products:

London Pale Ale

Vedett Extra Blond

Birra Moretti

Young’s Ram Rod

Young’s London Gold

Young’s Double Chocolate (Stout)

You can see all this and one of the most talented Americana singer-songwriters in the world this Thursday when Rachel Harrington performs at Arlington Arts. As always we’d love to hear your feedback and any products you might like to recommend just email boxoffice@arlingtonarts.co.uk with your comments and the subject of ‘Venue Feedback’.
