Creative Writing Competition Terms and Conditions

Submission of an entry is taken as acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

The important bits

Entries must be an original, unpublished piece of creative writing with a maximum 500-word count (not including title).
Theme: ‘Past & Present’ to be interpreted personally by the entrant
Age Categories:
– 12 and under: Young Creators
– 13–19: Rising Voices
– 20-49: The Next Chapter
– 50+: Seasoned Storytellers
Deadline: Midnight, Monday 31 August 2026 (GMT).
One entry per person
Shortlisting will be announced on or before Wednesday 30 September 2026
Winning entries from each category to be announced at the awards evening on Wednesday 4 November 2026 (date may be subject to change).

All entrants are invited to the awards evening on Wednesday 4 November 2026 (date may be subject to change) where the winners of each category will be announced. Please check your inbox for details nearer the date.
