t.rextasy | fri 13 SEPTEMBER | 8PM | £25

Marc Bolan, with his band T.Rex, was one of the most flamboyant and charismatic stars of the original glam rock era. With Bolan’s special ingredient of Rock-a-Boogie songs, the band had a string of huge hits throughout the 1970s including Love to Boogie, Telegram Sam, Jeepster and 20th Century Boy.

T.Rextasy have now been performing around the world for over 20 years, a career that ironically out lives Marc’s very own T.Rex. The band is now accepted as the world’s only official live tribute band dedicated to Marc Bolan & T.Rex, and the only band endorsed and approved by Marc Bolan’s family, estate, original ex-members of T.Rex, and Bolan’s catalogue management. The band has been described by many as ‘beyond the boundaries of tribute’.

Truly a rock’n’roll concert for all ages – If you would like to know exactly what a Marc Bolan concert was like in the 1970s, this show is for you!

T.Rextasy – awarded the accolade of ‘The Best Live Tribute Band in the UK ’ by BBC1 TV.

‘They’re the closest you’re ever going to get to the real thing’ Bill Legend (original T.Rex drummer)

‘T.Rextasy are the tribute act who break all the rules by being bloody brilliant. Danielz is an exact replica of Marc, he’s uncanny.’The Independent on Sunday

peeling | weds 18 september | 8pm | £12/£10

From award-winning playwright Kaite O’Reilly.

In shadow, 3 performers await their brief moment in the light. Alfa, Beaty and Coral wait… wait while once more the action plays out elsewhere.

Often blisteringly funny, at times almost unbearably painful; peeling takes us backstage into a world of secrets, a world of stories about mothers and their children, a world where these fierce, intelligent and capable women are always the chorus and never the lead.

Following a critically acclaimed tour of Wales, peeling challenges you to experience theatre afresh. Whose stories do we tell? And who will be there to bear witness?

With interwoven BSL, live audio description and captions. Contains adult themes.

“Fiercely clever and uncompromising” ****The Guardian

“Extraordinarily poetic…earthy, acerbic wit” ****The Stage

“Heartwarming, funny, emotional” Entertainment South Wales

Oye santana | fri 20 september | 8pm | £18

What makes Oye Santana so good? First of all the music. There’s a treasury of more than four decades of Santana catalogue to draw on, and every number in our set is a gem in its own right. Then there’s the musicianship. Check out the credentials of  Milan ‘Carlos’ Webb; of Gez Kahan and Hector Gomez; the astonishing breadth of abilities that Auriol Kobani and Paul Murphy, Pete Lockwood and Jon Quirk bring to our on-stage set-up. This really is a feast of musical talent.

Next there’s the authenticity. We could go off on self-indulgent flights of fancy, but we don’t. We painstakingly recreate the original Santana arrangements of the big hits that you know and love to bring you the true Santana sound. But playing the right notes is only a start. There’s much more to being the Best Santana Tribute in the World… There’s the passion. Carlos Santana’s guitar playing is instantly recognizable not just because of his tone or his trademark licks, but because of the emotion he puts into every note he plays. Oye Santana has that covered. And there’s the good-time feel. Every track is a fiesta – come and dance, come and party. We’ve got that covered too.

And every Oye Santana performance is a show, a visual feast of lights and action that will have you singing along, smiling along and dancing along from the first chink of a tambourine to the explosive finale. You’re going to love Oye Santana.

SPEAK, BROTHER | FRI 27 SEPTEMBER | 8PM | £12

Boasting a powerful indie-folk-rock sound with subtle hymnal and gospel tones, their story based anthems have drawn comparisons to the likes of Of Monsters and Men, Kodaline and Fleet foxes.

After successful tours with the likes of Julien Barbagallo (Tame Impala), the band stamped their mark on the scene with their crowdfunded Album “Young & Brave” in April 2018. The Album recorded with Gavin Monaghan (The Sherlocks) achieved multiple plays on BBC Radio 2 and became BBC Georgey’s artist of the week with a sound to have been “designed to swell the emotions and arrest the heart” (Listen with Monger).
