Kaz Hawkins | Friday 02 September | £18

Award-winning Belfast singer/songwriter Kaz Hawkins isn’t just a classic blues interpretation. She is from a generation and culture where blues emotion is gladly mixed with a soul voice, gospel flights, some rock guitars and cry ballads.

Discovered supporting Sir Van Morrison, she exploded onto the Irish blues scene winning numerous awards. She then began to win awards in the UK and was invited to represent the United Kingdom in Memphis and then again in Denmark where she became the first UK act to win at the European Blues Challenge in 2017. When she isn’t touring, you will hear Kaz as a presenter on BBC Radio with her show ‘Kaz Hawkins Got The Blues’ or giving lectures for charities on using music as a mental health tool. Kaz will return to the UK after a four-year hiatus with her French/Belgian band for some exclusive shows.

Katey Brooks | Saturday 17 September | £14

Katey Brooks is a rebellious artist that resists formula.  The ‘powerful’ (Evening Standard) songstress defies easy classification, with a sound blending folk, soul, blues and Americana. Her versatility has become one of her biggest assets when lending her voice to different genres and moods. A devastating song-writing talent, she is simply ‘not to be missed’ (Time Out).  Her haunting ethereal sound on the 2016 ‘I Fought Lovers’ EP received an enthusiastic reception from radio stations around the UK and internationally, including BBC Radio 2, BBC 6 Music and CBC Canada and her most recent album ‘Revolute’ was released in 2019 to huge critical acclaim across the world, including a ‘Best Album of the Year’ credit from music magazine Popdust.

She’s made fans out of her peers with Joss Stone telling her fans online “I love this lady’s voice. She really means what she’s singing” and Squeeze legend Chris Difford “Your voice is just amazing” which has recently earned her an opening slot during his tour in 2022.

Eddi Reader is perhaps Scotland’s greatest living female voice. In 2021, she celebrated her 40th year on stage with a ‘40 Years Live’ concert tour, her performances just get better and better.

From her earliest years playing the folk clubs of western Scotland and learning how to street sing across Europe (like her hero Edith Piaf) Eddi’s path soon led her to a professional career in music as a backing singer for Eurythmics and Gang of Four. Her band Fairground Attraction had huge international success and number one hits with ‘Perfect’ and debut album ‘First of a Million Kisses’ which stormed the charts in the late 1980s.

Throughout her successful solo career, Eddi has released consistently great works, including highly acclaimed albums such as ‘The Songs of Robert Burns’ and last year’s ‘Cavalier’. She has won Brit Awards, been awarded four honorary degrees, an MBE, sung to millions on some of the world’s greatest concert and festival stages and collaborated with a host of stars across a myriad of genres including Folk, Jazz, Pop, World, Punk and even Classical work with various orchestras.
