Access to arlington arts centre fOR Events

IMPORTANT: ARLINGTON LANE IS NOW THE DESIGNATED PUBLIC ENTRANCE AND EXIT
Arlington Lane can be entered by both the B4494 and Oxford Road (green arrows).

In the interest of child safety and site security, Mary Hare School have installed two new access barriers at the Oxford Road and Arlington Lane entrances. This is in addition to the access barrier installed at the Wantage Road entrance last year.

The Arlington Lane entrance is now the designated Arlington Arts Centre entrance and exit to the site. Arlington Arts Centre staff do not have access or control of the other two barriers so you will not be able to gain access to or exit the site other than by Arlington Lane.

For certain events, the Arlington Lane barrier will be up and access to and exiting the site will be as normal.

If the Arlington Lane Barrier is raised and/or car park is full, please do try the other areas of the site such as Primary School and the Manor building.

Upcoming Full Site Access via Arlington Lane Events

Kast Off Kinks

When Rivers Meet

For other events and during the school day, the Arlington Lane barrier will operate using automatic number plate recognition software (ANPR). If you have accessibility requirements, please contact boxoffice@arlingtonarts.co.uk with your vehicles plate number so that we can add it to the system so that your vehicle will be able to gain automatic access when coming to an event. If you are stuck at the barrier, please use the call button to contact the box office. Please note: You may be asked for evidence of your parking requirements.

You will not need to gain access beyond the barrier to park in the Arlington Lane car park. If you are able to, please park in the Arlington Lane car park and walk up to the venue. This car park has been extended and hopefully will be extended even further in 2025.

  • Unless it is not possible, please use the Arlington Lane car park and walk up to Arlington Arts Centre. If the Arlington Lane car park is full, especially with a middle aisle, please do try the other areas of the site such as Primary School and the Manor building.
  • For accessible parking please let us know ahead of time.
  • For certain events, the Arlington Lane barrier will be up and access to, parking and exiting the site will be as normal (see full site access list above). The full site access events listed above will have parking availability at the primary school and by the main manor (listed Mary Hare school on the image below).
  • There is a call button at the Arlington lane barrier to contact the box office.
  • It may be more convenient for you to find an alternative method of travel to the venue.

The Zoo That Comes To You follows the impassioned attempts of two animal enthusiasts to share their love of and concern for animals with the world. They take in animals that need respite, care or a temporary home and have, accidentally, ended up with a whole sanctuary, but with no visitors!

Featuring puppetry, live music and playful characters, Scarlet Oak Theatre welcomes you to join the conversation about animal conservation.
