Big Wolf Band, a highly acclaimed group with multiple award nominations, was formed in Birmingham in 2014 by celebrated guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter Jonathan Earp, along with bassist Mick Jeynes. The band is often described as explosive, dynamic, raw, emotional, and hardworking and with Tim Jones on drums, Justin Johnson on guitar, and Arran Shanghavi on keys, they form a formidable powerful blues rock powerhouse. Big Wolf Band are on the rise, making it into the Top 5 best blues bands in the UK at the UK Blues Awards in 2023 and 2024, with multiple nominations across various categories. Their live shows blend hard-edged blues rock with dynamic highs and lows, earning them a reputation as one of the best live bands on the scene.
Big Wolf Band have garnered airplay from Paul Jones on his Radio 2 show, Planet Rock, HRH radio, FM stations across Europe, Australia, and the USA, as well as numerous international podcasts and internet radio stations. Their albums have earned rave reviews worldwide. The band boasts an impressive following thanks to their excellent recording output, multiple number 1 albums, and diverse and exciting live performances. Over the past decade, they have toured the UK and Europe, supporting renowned blues rock artists such as Bernie Marsden, Kirk Fletcher, Elles Bailey, Chantel McGregor, Pat McManus, and Climax Blues Band to name just a few.
In 2024, Big Wolf Band embarked on their biggest headline tour, extensively touring the UK and Europe. Their third studio album, “Rebel’s Journey,” was released worldwide on April 19, 2024, garnering stunning reviews, magazine features and webzines. The album reached Number 1 on the Amazon Best Selling Blues Chart, Amazon Hot New Releases, and most recently, the IBBA chart for May 2024. The venue opens one hour before the performance begins, with the bar also starting service at that time. The auditorium doors typically open 30 minutes before the performance.
Tickets can be purchased from the box office, located directly opposite the entrance doors. It is open weekdays from 10.00am to 4:30pm, and also just before and during each show. Both the box office and the bar accept card and cash payments.
Please note that the venue is located on the site of Mary Hare School. We kindly ask all visitors to remain in public areas only. These include the auditorium, foyer, grass area, and the designated smoking area to the left of the venue entrance (as you face it).
Please note that there is no cash machine on site.
